NUC DE3815 Dual Display Not working

I am trying to enable a NUC DE3815TYBE board for dual display (VGA and HDMI) and it won't work. The main screen will always show up on the VGA monitor and nothing on the HDMI. If I unplug the VGA cable, the main screen will show correctly on the HDMI monitor. The BIOS setting for Primary and Secondary monitor have no effect. I have tried "Extend Display" and "Clone Display" - that makes no difference.

I am running Windows 10 PRO, and have updated the drivers and BIOS to latest versions.

Ant ideas?

Hello mgd379,

I understand dual display is not working proper in your Intel® NUC Board DE3815TYBE.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Please also attach the Intel Graphics Driver Report. This link will show you how to generate it https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html

Please run both reports with both monitors connected to the computer.

Are you using any type of video adapter between the computer and the monitors?

Please let me also know the model number of the monitors you are trying to setup in dual display.

To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Regards,

Fred, Attached are the two reports you suggested.

I am only using the Intel graphics (no other video adapter).

The monitors are : E176FP (VGA), and Dell 1708FP (DVI input using HDMI to DVI cable).

Thanks for your help.

Hello mgd379,

Thanks for the information you sent to me.

I would like you to try reinstalling the graphics driver.

Please download it from this link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26637/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-DE3815TYK... https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26637/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-DE3815TYK...

As soon as the graphics driver has been downloaded on the keyboard press WinLogo key + r, then type in devmgmt.msc, double click on Display Adapters -> Intel HD Graphics -> Driver tab -> Uninstall -> Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device -> OK, restart the computer, and then reinstall the driver I provided.

Please also install monitor drivers from the following links:

Dell E176FPf monitor http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YM3D0&lwp=rt http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YM3D0&lwp=rt

Dell 1708FP Monitor http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YRY9X http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YRY9X

If possible try connecting a HDMI monitor and try setting up dual display.

Let me know if issue persists or not.

Regards,

Fred D.
