I have problem with nuc model: DE3815TYKE , after power loss the nuc doesn't power back on automatically. After the power is restored, the button signaled with a light that it works but nothing happens and should manually turn it off and turn on. I tried with bios versions: FYBYT10H.86A(last version 62) , TYBYT10H.86A(previous version 61) and TYBYT10H.86A (old version 44) , and nothing happening again . As additional information, the nucs working without cmos battery . Is it possible that the problem is that the cmos battery is removed.
Thank you for contacting us, I was reading your thread and I noticed you are having posting issues, I will be glad to assist you.
Let me inform you that for performance purposes is 100% recommended to use the unit with the CMOS battery to save BIOS customizations.
Could you please perform BIOS recovery by security jumper (with the CMOS installed)? You will find the instructions and the latest BIOS version in the following links:
Could you please test the unit without SSD and RAM? There is any light?
Also please test the unit with one RAM stick. Are you able to access BIOS?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you for the fast and beneficial answer from your side.
The problem was from the CMOS battery as he directed me. The problem is there that we remove the cmos battery on our nucs by the some reasons.
It was interesting to see if there was any other solution about that.
Thank you again,
Proper and consistent operation of the NUC is only going to occur if you have this battery connected. There is simply no valid reason for removing it.
