NUC DN2820FYKH and PCIE x4

Hi Intel community!

I have a NUC DN2820FYKH and a 4x SATA expansion card with PCI-E x4 connector that are supposed to be the basis for a DIY NAS server.

Is there a way to combine them? I've seen Mini-PCI-E to PCI-E adapters on amazon for around 20€. Are these any good and suitable?

Thanks

Michael

There is no way to combine these items. The PCIe Half-Mini Card connector provides only a PCIe x1 (not PCIe x4) capability. Whether you can use this connector for disk expansion is an unknown. Intel considers this connector as being dedicated to the support of a Wireless Card and does not validate for or support any other usage models. Bottom line, you can try, but you may not be successful.

Sorry,
