My NUC - NUC6CAYH (NEW)
SanDisk SSD PLUS (NEW)
The NUC not accept SSD
The SSD does not appear !
I make sure the SATA Cable is Good
And SSD In the right place
Where is the problem and what is the solution?
Were you expecting it to just show up in the boot order? It won't appear there until it is bootable (i.e. after you install O/S).
To see if the device is being detected, click on Advanced, then Devices and then SATA. You should see drive in list of devices detected.
Hope this helps,
Can you verify that both the SATA signal and power cables are properly plugged into the baseboard? The SATA port cable can be quite easily tugged out while mounting drive into bay...
I checked the cables several times all good
See the pictures
I tried SSD in my laptop and appeared in the storage management
So the SSD Works
Problem in a NUC
I do not know what to do. Is there a solution ?
Yea, there's a solution, but you won't like it - I am thinking you need to have the base unit replaced. If still possible, you can swap it through your retail outlet. If not, you can do it via RMA process with Intel. For this, you need to contact Intel Customer Support directly to set it up. Here is contact information, by geography:

Hope this helps,
Looks like the SSD is there just not formatted. The box that says: THIS-SSD is black meaning it is not partitioned and formatted. The box that is blue means it is partitioned and formatted and ready for use.
Right click on the black box and select "Create Simple Volume". If this is a drive you have data on, make sure you back up that data before you prepare it to be used on the new machine as this will erase it.
Try formatting it in your laptop first and then see if it appears in the NUC. The BIOS you have is 0038. The latest is 0042. Try updating to the latest BIOS. Does the SSD appear in the BIOS under the /ADVANCED/DEVICES/SATA/ tab?
