Hello NUC gurus. I just bought a NUC10I7FNH performance kit from Amazon along with a Samsung 970 Evo plus NVMe M2 SSD. MY Question has to do not so much with compatibility, but more to do with the NUC10I7FNH ability to fully support the NVMe speeds. I know the NUC is compatible with NVMe, much like USB 2 is compatible with USB 3, but there would be an obvious bottleneck. So the question really is, is the NUC10i7FNH capable of of supporting the full capabilities of NVMe transfer speeds?
I’ve searched and searched and can’t find the answer. Intel’s own specs says that the storage interphase is M2 SATA PCIe X4. Not really sure what that means. I understand in order to take full advantage of an NVMe drive, there needs to be an interphase of PCIe gen3 X4 but Intel doesn’t list that in the specs.
do I have to return my NUC and buy a different model that will take advantage of NVMe speeds?
