After installing a fresh clean Windows 10 Pro (ver2004), i notice it kept freezing once awhile. No BSOD, just freeze. Can't move my mouse, can't CRTL-ALT-DEL. Most of the time my HDD Light is Solid Color without blinking, probably had this more than 10 over times. Only once, it freezes without light.
I thought it was my old RAM (4GB Kingston DDR4 2400MHz x 2pcs). I got a set of new RAM (8GB Kingston DDR4 2666MHz x 2pcs), still with the same problem. I've reinstalled windows another time, and same thing is happening. I'm running on ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB NVME SSD.
Any advise, i've tried using latest available drivers for all hardware, updated BIOS, just nothing works.

I'm not sure how to save the events, but hopefully the attached file helps.
Do advise me further if required.
Thanks in advanced.

I can see some potential problem with the Graphics Driver. In order to get better information about your system, please download the Intel System Support Utility (SSU). Run the SSU scan and save the results. The .txt file with the results please attach to your post.
I'll try to help you, but any way this information will be help to Intel Engineer also.

Previously, i was on Intel ® Graphics Driver Version:"20.100.8141".
Found a latest Intel ® Graphics Driver Version:"27.20.100.8587" and giving it a try now. let's see if it fails again.
Do let me know if I should install back the old driver and show the txt file here.

Hello keithkit,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
I understand that you are experiencing some freezes with your Intel® NUC10i3FNH. To better assist you I would appreciate if you could provide the following information:
- Is this a new unit? When did the situation start?
- Were any changes made prior to this behavior?
- I understand that there are no BSOD errors, or blinking codes in the NUC’s chassis, correct?
- Have you tried your drive on a different system?
- Does the freezes occur under certain workload or this will randomly occur?
I was checking the reports attached and I can see that the unit is up to date in terms of software, Additionally, I am aware that already tested different RAM modules.
However as behavior persists, I would recommend testing the NUC only with one SODIMM connected at the time.
Please give it a try and let me know what the outcome is.

Hi Esteban,
- Is this a new unit? When did the situation start?
- Yes, is a brand new unit. This situation started on day 1 itself.
- Were any changes made prior to this behavior?
- Nothing, brand new, clean installation (Windows 10 Pro ver2004). Thought some other programs were crashing it, re-installed without installing other programs, same issue with the freeze.
- I understand that there are no BSOD errors, or blinking codes in the NUC’s chassis, correct?
- There is no BSOD shown on my screen, however, the HDD lighted up (not blinking, but a solid light).
- Have you tried your drive on a different system?
- Nope, as I do not have another pc which supports M.2 NVME. Maybe I shall put another HDD and try a clean install and see it freeze with similar condition.
- Does the freezes occur under certain workload or this will randomly occur?
- I believe it is just random occurrences as i'm not working on anything which requires high workload such as:
- Internet Browsing - my cursor just freeze. It happen when i was moving the cursor or sometimes when i click on something.
- Saving some excel sheets.
- Downloading some files, waiting for it to complete, but it was freeze before the download completed.
- I believe it is just random occurrences as i'm not working on anything which requires high workload such as:
Noted on your suggestion and I start with 1 SODIMM at a time as well.
Thank you.

I also suggest that you run MemTest86+ for 12-24 hours and make sure that there are no issues with the memory, memory buses or the processor's memory controllers.

I decided to get a new sets of Kingston DDR4 2666MHz 8GB x 2pcs. Same issue with the freeze. So I'm quite sure is not the RAM issue.
What I've done so far is change the NVMe Driver using the OFA 1.5. Secure boot off and hibernation off. Seems good without a freeze for now. Will keep testing.

Hello keithkit,
Thank you so much for your response, I appreciate the information provided.
Do you have any update after testing just one SODIMM module? Remember to swap between the slots.
Testing the HDD and performing a fresh install of the OS would be great. That will determine if a faulty SSD may be causing this behavior.
Can you please give it a try and share results with me?

I have a couple of NUCs that have SX8200NP/SX8200PNP (Pro) drives. The FN NUC has a PNP. I have never needed an alternate storage driver. I don't think your problem is with the storage subsystems.
