I just got this NUC Kit NUC10i7FNH installed windows and the necessary drivers updated Bios to 0050. the front audio Jack is not working. I have reinstalled the Realtek audio driver 10 times at least. It is not seeing the audio Jack at all. I am running the latest version of windows 10 home. I had installed a hard drive that already had a earlier version of Windows 10 and it was working periodically. I tried to get some driver information from the Intel driver and support assistant but had some problems and when I tried to uninstall that was when my problems started. it came back and I had sound then it was gone again. and now no matter what I do it is still not working. Please I( hope there is some help here

I received my NUC10i7FNH (with Windows, memory, HDD, Optane memory pre-installed) in December 2020. I did have difficulties with sound output from the front port. After configuring using the Windows sound control panel, the port would work, but sometimes only after plugging in the headphone jack in and out a couple of times. After a restart, the changed setting would have to be configured again.
Finally, I installed the Realtek Audio Console software, and the sound issues were completely resolved. Just today, I received the notification of the BIOS Version 0050 being available, and installed it. No problems with the front audio port afterwards.
You can try if you like.

Hello David I have tried everything others have also tried and nothing has seemed to work for me. The Realtec audio driver version 8950 always fails to load. So I have 3 NUC units an older i7 NUCi7BNH the died and I cant get to work because the processor over heats and also an older i5 NUC6iSYH that works just fine. Burt today I tried something different I was able to install the Realtec driver version 7982 from my I5 NUC. this actually worked however I then tried to upgrade to version 8192 and or 8950. neither of these would load in the system. I suspect an issue with the driver file or something in the way the driver loads. Again its not perfect but it is usable and of course I would love to be able to use the latest and greatest drivers for this so any help wil be appreciated.

Hello @RBECKER
After testing, we didn't get the same outcome. We recommend to reinstall the Operating System with a fresh image and install the new drivers once again for testing. Please let us know the outcome.

I actually did this as I purchased a brand new Samsung 870 EVO 2TB drive and loaded the latest version of windows10 home on it. This was where I had the problem and started with the latest drive and worked my way backwards until I found one that works. I did this before loading anything else on my drive because I wanted to get all the correct NUVC drivers loaded. One of the problems I experienced was that even though windows said the driver was loaded in the apps section it had failed installation and wasn't actually loaded. What would you like me to do next ? start all over again with a fresh drive and try again?

Hi @RBECKER
Before installing the Realtek Audio Driver, please reset BIOS to default settings (while in BIOS click on F9 and then F10). Next, while in Windows, install the Chipset Device Software and the Management Engine Driver. Reboot your NUC and only then try to install the Realtek Audio Driver.
