After upgrading BIOS from 0046 to 0050, NUC11PAHi7 stopped Suspend-to-RAM https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.18/admin-guide/pm/sleep-states.html#suspend-to-ram . Moreover, after such an attempt, it stops turning on until BIOS is reset in the workshop. There was no such problem with version 0046.
Should I downgrade to 0046 version or wait for the new version to fix the problem?

Hello Eling,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® NUC 11 Performance kit - NUC11PAHi7.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. What is the operating system installed as well as the version and kernel?
2. Have you made any changes to the BIOS?
3. Is this issue present with Windows 10 or Windows 11?
Bear in mind that due to security reasons, it is not possible to downgrade the BIOS version.

I have done several linux tests:
- I tried Clear Linux build 38560 (Linux clr 6.2.6-1290.native) with safe settings of the BIOS (F9).
- It goes to Suspend-to-RAM but does not wake up. The system restarted.
- The menu suspend option works, but a fan continues to run.
- I also tried Qubes OS 4.1.2 (Linux dom0 5.15.94-1.qubes.fc32.x86_64). None of the suspend options work here.
Can't say anything about Windows OS. I don't have such systems.

Hello Deivid,
Unfortunately, I was already in a situation where my NUC, after updating, stopped responding to the power button. None of the recipes given in https://downloadmirror.intel.com/766623/NUC-AptioV-UEFI-Firmware-BIOS-Update-Readme.pdf helped, including "BIOS Recovery by the Security Jumper". I had to go to a repair shop to have it repaired. Wouldn't want to be in that situation again.
Is there a reliable way to recover the BIOS at home if a NUC won't turn on?

Hello Eling,
As the last recommendation, try to get in contact with your Linux distributor to get further support and drivers for your operating system.
I will proceed to close this thread, however, you can open a new one in case you need further support or if you face any issues with our products.
Best regards,

Thanks Deivid,
Given that the distributor of Clear Linux is Intel Corporation, can you ask if this problem is known and report the results?
