NUC11PAHi7 thermal issue?

Hi,

few days ago I noticed several CPU thermal warnings from HWInfo.

Please see attachment, taken just after power on, several hours after the previous use.

I have updating all drivers at the ultimate version yesterday, but this also happens with previous drivers.

I have BIOS set to default values, the system fan in balance mode and in the Intel NUC Studio Software I have selected the Low Power CPU mode:

PPL1 30w

PPL2 64w

Tau 28s

It is normal for the CPU to constantly reach limit temperatures and consequent throttling activation even simply by staying on the wins 10 desktop as soon as you start the PC?

Alright, I've solved myself.

It was a dust issue, between the fan and the copper cooler.

For anyone who may encounter the same issue, keep in mind that the fan of the NUC is very quiet. Over time, accumulating dust, it begins to become noisy and emit noises at high frequencies, rather annoying.

In that case just clean the device with compressed air from the cooling grids.

If  a NUC11 accumulated that much dust in just a year, I would seriously look at the environment where you have it operating.

It was not so much, but there was a lump  between the fan and the heatsink that evidently did not allow proper cooling.
