NUC11PHKi7C what are the 3 LEDs on the front AND how to control the RGB logo on top

Hi

The NUC11PHKi7C has 3 LEDs on the front (see image below, ringed in yellow), these are not listed in the specification update (at all).

From deduction

LEFT = RED (hard drive)

MIDDLE = GREEN (LAN)

RIGHT = GREEN / YELLOW (no idea, might be graphics or heat !)

The right one is green, on running a bench test, when it got to the graphics this LED went yellow, so i assume is some sort of heat warning, cant tell as the manual doesn't list them.

Also the Logo on top says it has an RGB connector, so how do we change the LED colors?

Many Thanks

Hello @GRIFFCOMM

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In regards to your inquiries, the LEDs refer to these behaviors:

  • Disk Activity details are displayed on Front LED 1 (red LED).
  • Ethernet Activity is displayed on Front LED 2.
  • Power Limit is displayed on Front LED 3.

Note: We will share this feedback with the proper team to see if this information may be included in our public documentation.

With respect to the RGB connector and how to change the LED colors, you will need the Intel® NUC Software Studio available on the Microsoft Store*. You will also need to install the "Intel NUC Software Studio - Performance Driver":

  1. Download the Intel® NUC Performance Driver
  2. Unzip the Intel NUC Software Studio Service_MSI_v1.0.0.17.zip
  3. Double-click the NSSServiceInstaller (.msi installer) to install the Performance driver and Performance driver extension.

For more information and installation instructions, please review the User Guides (Intel NUC Software Studio User Guide-Intel NUC 11 Performance Enthusiast Extreme-v1.1....

A last question would be, that power light seems to have a sliding color status, by default RED to GREEN, what does it actually indicate as it appears its not "just power", kinda surprises me you have a "power light" as the power button has a light in it (that lights when on and flashes when its asleep)....
