NUC11PNKi3 SATA drive connector

I have a NUC11PNKi3 which had the SATA connector cable removed to work with the other internal ports.  When I reconnected the SATA cable,  I am now getting intermittent SATA connectivity.  First question,  what is the proper orientation of that 22 pin flat cable into that miniature connector?  I did not use the SATA port before I disconnected it.  There is a little blue tab on one side of the flat cable.  So maybe I plugged it in wrong when I was reassembling.  But I cannot find a picture of that connection anywhere on the 'net.

The system boots OK with NVMe,  M.2 SATA, and an external USB drive,  so I know the system it self is good.

Thanks,   Dale Kline

Sorry,  that should be model "NUC11TNHi3"!  I have several NUCs on my desk and occasionally confuse the Model names.

DKlin, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to your question, "what is the proper orientation of that 22 pin flat cable into that miniature connector?", in the link and picture below you will see how the SATA connector cable gets connected into the Intel® NUC. Even though the picture and the link do not belong to the Intel® NUC 11 Pro Kit NUC11TNHi3, it might give you an indication of how it should be connected:

Once you get the chance, let us know if that information was useful for you or if you need further assistance on this topic. If you do, please send us a picture of how are you connecting the SATA cable to your Intel® NUC.

Any questions, please let me know.

Just one question before we close this issue...   Since I am sure that the mini SATA connector is defective,  is there any warrantee coverage for this.  Even you noted that the connector is very fragile...

Thanks for your help,

Dale Kline
