I notice that the newly announced Nvidia 12GB 4070Ti card has been advertised as a "2 slot" card and the power draw is less than the 3080. Any thoughts on whether or not this ridiculously priced card will be compatible with the NUC12DCMi9 would be most welcome.

I am pleased to advise that the INNO3D GEFORCE RTX 4070 Ti X3 OC is now running on my NUC12DCMi9. I had to make a minor (ie not too technical) modification to the supplied PCIE 5 to dual type 4 power cable to enable it to fit under the top exhaust fans. The 4070 Ti is 10mm longer and approximately 3mm skinnier than the 3080. The 4070 Ti is quieter than the 12GB EVGA 3080 and uses 10% to 20% less wattage (measured at the wall) to perform similar tasks. While I am not a gamer, I thought I would run a few easily obtainable tests before and after the install of the 4070 Ti. In all cases, the larger number is the winner.

- 3dMark DLSS (with DLSS)* 121.86 159.63
* for each DLSS test I used an output size of 2560x1440. Also, I could only use DLSS 2 on the 3080 and DLSS 3 on the 4070 Ti

crhendo, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
In reference to your question, it is important to mention that Intel® has not tested or validated the Nvidia 4070Ti card as compatible with your Intel® NUC 12 Extreme Kit - NUC12DCMi9, as you can confirm when using our compatibility tool:
Based on that, we cannot guarantee that the card will work with your Intel® NUC.
Still, in the link below you will find the TPS (Technical Product Specifications) of your device, where you can verify the dimensions of it, page 36:
Additionally, the graphics cards might have a high power consumption that the Intel® NUC might not be able to provide. For that reason, we recomned to get in contact directly with Nivida Support to confirm with them all the specifications about their product:

Any questions, please let me know.

The specifications of the INNO3d 4070ti size wise are a perfect fit with a power draw less than the 3080. What else do I need to know? When will Intel test this board?

crhendo, Thank you very much for your response.
In reference to your question, from our side, those are all the details we have available for this scenario.
There is no official information on when Intel® will test this board or if it will be tested since it is almost impossible for Intel® to test all the products available in the market.

Hi my friend, I need your help.
I'm from France.
I acquired a Nuc Extreme 12 (i7) and an RTX 4070ti Innov3D.
I had the same idea as you to want to make this configuration, but I'm to play games.
To date, your configuration is still doing well?
No problem to report?
Can you tell me how you did for the connector that connects the GPU to the power supply?
What did you do ? Did you buy an adapter or new cable? Which ?
Can you send me some photos?
My email: <REMOVED>
Thank you my friend!

I'm using ZOTAC RTX4070Ti Trinity without any issue at this moment.
Using NUC13 build in cable come with the power supply to connect with this 4070 card.
