NUC5CPYB motherboard layout and connectors

[Segfault]

I have this NUC5CPYB, I ordered a CEC module from Pulse Eight. When it arrived I pulled the board and discovered it does not look like it is supposed to. According to Pulse Eight product manual there should be flat spots where I'm supposed to solder two wires. Please see the pictures, first one is from Pulse Eight and the second one is my board. It has a nine pin header there. I can't find any documentation about this header. I emailed Pulse Eight tech support and they seem to be clueless. 

Any ideas how to connect my CEC adapter are welcome.

The header shown on 2-NUC5CPYB.jpeg is Front Panel Header. Please refer to 2.2.4.5, page 48 in the Technical product Specification. 

I'm not sure how to connect here the CEC Adapter, but if you bought adapter shown on this page, your NUC is listed as not supported model.

Due to this product being discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, I am glad to see that fellow community members have the knowledge and they jumped in and helped. Thank you for reply. I asked Pulse Eight sales before ordering and they sent me this. NUC5CPYB is the same as NUC5CPYH?

NUC5CPYH is the NUC identification number, while NUC5CPYB is board identification installed in NUC5CPYH.

They've sent you instructions and a picture that shows how to solder-connect to an unpopulated Custom Solutions Header. The  problem is NUC5CPYB does not have a Custom Solutions Header.

The real problem here is that they/you are referring to this NUC using the 'NUC5' generalization. There are three complete families of NUCs that can be referenced using that generalization,

• Pinnacle Canyon (NUC5CPY, NUC5PPY) family
• Rock Canyon (NUC5i3RY, NUC5i5RY, NUC5i7RY) family
• Maple Canyon (NUC5i3MY, NUC5i5MY) family

Only the Maple Canyon family included support for a Custom Solutions Header.
