NUC6CAYH Windos 10 wireless driver: which version?

I have downloaded and installed the latest Windows 10 driver for the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/it/download/26436/NUCs-Intel-Wireless-basato-sulla-tecnologia-Driver-per-Windows-10-per-i-Kit-Intel-NUC-NUC6CAYS-e-NUC6CAYH?product=95062 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/it/download/26436/NUCs-Intel-Wireless-basato-sulla-tecnologia-Driver-per-Windows-10-per-i-Kit-Intel-NUC-NUC6CAYS-e-NUC6CAYH?product=95062

But both Control Panel and Intel Driver & Support Assistant keep telling me that I have installed version 19.51.7.2...I am a little confused, could anybody help me to clarify this issue?

Hello hardhu,

Thank you for contacting Intel® technical support. I will be more than happy to help you.

I understand that you want to check the version number of the driver for the Intel® Wireless Technology in your Intel® NUC Kit NUC6CAYH.

In the Intel® Drivers & Software web page, you can see that the number of the latest driver version is 20.0.2. However, if the system is using Windows® 10 and if the NUC device has an Intel® Wireless-AC 3168 + BT 4.2 (which is your case), the version number in the system will change into 19.51.7.2 .

This does not mean that this a different driver. This is the exact same driver. The only difference is how the system recognizes it.

You can confirm this information in the Release Notes of the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software 20.0.2: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26436/eng/ReleaseNotes_WiFi_20_0_2.pdf
