NUC6CAYS display problems / turns black with BIOS v047

Jump to solution

Hi,

we are having some issues with new NUC6CAYS (15 devices in total) - screen randomly turns completely black for a few seconds. The NUC is connected via VGA to Acer v246hl (resolution: 1920x1080@60 Hz). We have seen this problem discussed here a few times, so we have updated all of the available drivers, including BIOS to version AYAPLCEL.86A v047, but the problem still persists. NUC is running Windows 10 Pro 1703 (see attachment). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Video of the problem: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AnewxpflxYYLgeBj0MS7mBw0tvWR7Q https://1drv.ms/v/s!AnewxpflxYYLgeBj0MS7mBw0tvWR7Q (use download, does not play in browser)

Output from Support Utility is in the attachment.

This /docs/DOC-112276 was an issue with bios version < 0045 , should be fixed in bios version >= 0045 (your report states bios version 0047, but maybe you have not upgraded all?)

Hi,

downgrading BIOS from version 47 to version 45 seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks a lot for the answer.
