Hey guys, this still is not fixed. I am the latest available driver version for my Intel NUC, and this thing just cannot play video without flickering on a chrome browser.
I am going to attach the SSU run that I did. The video driver that I have installed is:
Intel ® Graphics Driver Version:"188.8.131.5294"
Here's also a link of what "flickering" I am talking about. This example is of an Amazon Prime video.
Seriously this is pretty unacceptable. I am able to play things on this 4k TV via Kodi with *ZERO* problems. But playing video on the browser is just woeful. Someone throw me a bone here.
Hello, JamesDe. Thank you very much for sharing your issue with the Intel Communities Team. I will be more than glad to assist you.
There is a newer driver version for your graphics controller. Let us try the following:
In addition, please share with me the model of your display and which type of cable you are using to achieve the connection. Then, please share with me an https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005848/graphics-drivers.html Intel® HD Graphics report. Finally, which is the version of chrome you are currently using?
hi intel_corp, thanks for the reply.
I have updated the driver to the one you pointed me to. It has helped a little bit, but I am still getting some flickering like in the above video.
I am attaching an updated SSU and the display graphics information.
I am using a Samsung - 43" Class - LED - NU7100 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR
I am using a regular HDMI cable.
I am using Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Hello, JamesDe. Thank you very much for the information provided.
I will run some tests at our labs using the same NUC that you are using.
In the meantime, I can see that your BIOS is outdated. Please update your BIOS to the 0068 version and let us know how it goes:
I would like to double check if you were able to perform the troubleshooting steps that I attached to the post above and the results.
