NUC6i5SYH WHEA error - exact cause

Hi All,

 

Can somebody from intel possibly reply with the exact cause of the WHEA error on the SYH board?  I currently have one that started with the error then updated the bios to the latest as of 2022 however this has not fixed the issue, since the board is out of warranty and there is no RMA are we able to get the exact cause of the issue?

 

I read that it has something to do with the voltage regulator overstressing, does this mean that the regulator itself  has gone bad or has it caused permanent damage to the CPU?

 

I am happy to change components on the board but would like to know what is damaged.

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.
