Hi, my 2017-era NUC6i5SYK will no longer boot.
When I turn it on, the power indicator shows amber, then goes off completely.
The monitor says "INTEL NUC" and never proceeds from there.
I have verified the power supply is providing 19.5V.
I have replaced the CMOS battery, and tried the "clear CMOS" technique of keeping the battery disconnected for 15 minutes.
I have also reseated all the memory and SSD modules.
So far nothing has helped.
Any suggestions would be welcome!
Thanks,
Ted

1. Power on holding the power button in for a full three seconds and then release. After a short time (max 1 min.), the Power Button Menu should appear. Once it does, you can press F2 key to enter BIOS Setup. From there, use F9 key to reset the BIOS configuration and then F10 to save the reset configuration and exit. Let the system then attempt to boot on its own.
2. If the system doesn't boot, go into BIOS Setup again and select Advanced, Devices and the SATA. Do you see your SSD/HDD devices being detected? If not, they may have failed.
I will stop there; let us know where you get to...

Hi Scott, thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, even though my "lighted key" keyboard lights up when I power-up the NUC, the F2 button does nothing. It is a USB keyboard, but connected through a hub. I'll try connecting it directly to the NUC tomorrow and see if it senses the keyboard that way.

Scott, that was the problem. I moved the keyboard USB plug from a USB hub directly into a NUC USB port. That allowed me to use F2 to get to the Bios. F9 and F10 reset the BIOS config, and after that the NUC boots again.
Thanks for your suggestions!
