I recently attempted to install Windows 10 onto a NUC via a USB stick, which was fine until I received an error message regarding the formatting of the drive. After spending 3 hours with Microsoft support (who eventually called me and told me to just take it straight to the Microsoft store), they told me to turn on fast boot in the BIOS and restart. Now, I have two problems, one of which could be easily solved if the other was solved. I boot straight to an error message saying I need to input a boot media device and restart or input a device and press a key. This is fine, but all of the USB ports have stopped responding. After a reboot, my keyboard will light up for a couple seconds, then turn off until I restart. If I remove the power cable and hold down the power button to get rid of flea power, after turning it on with the cable connected, I see the Intel NUC screen, with options below (F2 to enter setup, etc). That is only after a complete power restart. I have sent a ticket to Intel Support, but I figured I would try my luck here, as I really need the PC up and running ASAP.
Thanks in advance for any responses,
Sasha

- Try to enter Power Button Menu. Press Power Button for about 3 seconds. You should release the Power Button soon as the power led changes color from blue to amber. Alternately, the system will emit three short beeps from the PC speaker or headphones, if connected, then stop. While you see the LED color change or you hear the beeps, release the Power Button - NUC should reboot into Power Button Menu. You should release the Power Button before 4-sec shut down override.
- While you will see the Power Button Menu - press F3 to Disable Fast Boot. You don't need it activated. You can enter bios (press F2), to reset the setting to default.
- If you will not be able to reset bios from Power Button Menu. please recover your bios using Security Jumper removed method (it is automatically process, no user intervention with keyboard needed) https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005532/mini-pcs.html
- The latest bios file KY0059.bio you may download here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28360/BIOS-Update-KYSKLi70-86A-?product=89187 . The USB should be fully formatted to FAT32 in Windows.

Hi,
Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, as I mentioned, the USB ports have stopped responding, meaning I am unable to use the keyboard or insert USB sticks.
