NUC6i7KYK with BenQ monitor continues "device connect/disconnect" when display goes to sleep

I have a NUC6i7KYK running Windows 10 and have a BenQ XL2536-B monitor attached via HDMI.

As soon as the monitor goes to sleep the Windows start playing the "Device connected"/"Device disconnected" sound over and over again until I wake up the monitor again.

I have tried the latest GFX and monitor drivers with no success at all.

I run EventGhost and I can see the following events when this happens:

Hello SFila1, Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities. First, I would like to know if you have tried testing a different monitor or else a different cable, this is important just to rule out possible culprits. I would like to know if this issue has been present since you started using the Intel ® NUC or did it start after? What happened before the issue began? Also, To better assist you with your request, I will need to check some information about your computer. Please follow these steps: 1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R. 2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter. 3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop). 4. Attach the report to this thread. Hi David,

Thanks for your answer.

I have been using the NUC with other monitors and was working fine. But I have also been using the monitor with other PCs(one with a NVidia 1080Ti graphics card) and was also working fine. It's the specific combination of this NUC with this Monitor that is causing the issue.

I reformatted yesterday to make sure it is not some software issue, but didn't help.

The information you requested are attached.

Thanks,

Stavros

Hello SFila1, Thank you for your response. Upon review of the report, I can see that your system is not yet up to date with the operating system, I can see that the latest version released for Windows 10* has not been installed yet. If possible, please make sure that Windows* is up-to-date. Also, try connecting the monitor with a different cable, if applicable, try using a different port on the Intel ® NUC. Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. Will try an update and send you the new dxinfo.

I tried different cables, and using the Display Port instead of HDMI, but the problem is still there.

Thanks,

Stavros
