Hello ricky65,
Thank you for joining the Intel Community Support.
I understand that you would like to know if your Intel® NUC Kit NUC7CJYH supports hardware video acceleration in Linux. I would like to help you.
Even though Intel has not tested and validated Intel® NUC with any Linux distributions, we have plenty of positive reports from our NUC owners. These distros are listed on the Supported Operating Systems page, along with direct links to their websites.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005628/mini-pcs.html
In this case, I suggest you check whether Hardware Video Acceleration is supported in the following communities as you may need additional drivers.
https://askubuntu.com/
https://ubuntuforums.org/
In addition, I recommend you to review the list of tested memory for Intel® NUC to get the most out of your unit.

Hi, thank you for your lnformative answer, I have a NUC6CAYH running Linuxmint with no problems but it only uses Linux genric video drivers, the NUC7CJYH is certified in intel's supported operating systems list to work with Ubuntu 17.03 or 04, I just thought someone may have built a NUC7CJYH using this distro.
I'm building a dedicated Linux machince, hopefully linux will have more dedicated drivers to enable this, I'll carry on researching and use the links you provided, also NUC's only seem to work with certain ram modules even thought the specifications are the same, thank you.
