NUC7I3BNH - doesnt recognize WD Green 120gb M.2 SATA SSD

Jump to solution

Hi everybody,

i've got the https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/products/boards-kits/nuc/kits/nuc7i3bnh.html Intel NUC-Kit i3-7100U 2.4GHz HD620 NUC7I3BNH and wanna use a https://www.wdc.com/de-de/products/internal-ssd/wd-green-ssd.html# WDS120G2G0B WD Green 120gb M.2 2280 SATA SSD in the M.2 Slot. The SSD is listet in the http://compatibleproducts.intel.com/ProductDetails/ExportPeripheralInfo?moduleName=Intel%C2%AE%20NUC... Compatibility List and got the same Specification WDS120G1G0B-00RC30, but the NUC doesnt recognize the SSD.

My BIOS [Version: 0062 - 22.02.2018] is up to date:

the NUC doesnt recognize the SSD:

i've tried a Samsung M.2 SSD with no Problems:

Is only PCIe NVMe supportet in the M.2 Slot? I tried to put the WD Green in a HP 600G3SFF (where i got the Samsung SSD) and the HP doesnt recognize the wd green too :/

i've ordered a new wd green, maybe its defect...?

best greetings

I was able to install windows successfully, peace!

Hi z1x.

Your screen shots only show the PCI tab. The M.2 SATA SSD should be listed under the SATA tab.
