The new BIOS update just appeared on https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28242/BIOS-Update-JYGLKCPX-86A-?product=126137 Download BIOS Update [JYGLKCPX.86A].
The web page says: "See the release notes for installation instructions, supported hardware, what's new, bug fixes, and known issues in this BIOS version.", but there is no such file on the page.
So, What's new in this release?

Doh! My bad PeterNUC.
I missed that and have just posted them.
Since it may take a couple hours to go live, here's the New Fixes/Features part.
New Fixes/Features:
· Fixed the issue where the system would hang if the startup sound was enabled.

cvare,
Nice to hear that. I happened to have an ugly experience when I tried to enable startup sound. However, I was hoping for something more substantial, like improving HDMI 2.0 compatibility, but thanks anyway.

Can you share a bit more about the HDMI issues you're having?

Well, when HDMI port on TV is configured as HDMI 2.0 the NUC has lots of various issues which make HDMI 2.0 unusable. You can find more details in my threads:

Thanks, cvare,
Actually because of all these problems with HDMI 2.0 I still cannot use the NUC as I planned since I was not able find a compatible budget 4K TV to use it as a large monitor with this NUC (at 4K, 60HZ and 4:4:4 chroma). So, I'm just waiting for some changes in the BIOS which could improve HDMI 2.0 compatibility.
Best, Peter
