NUC7PJYH not recognizing any boot usb drives

I was able to update the BIOS using the same USB port on the back side with F7 key. I have  Dawson Canyon and June Canyon NUC – Ubuntu Desktop 16.04 LTS image

on the USB drive along with RUFUS. The problem is when I press F10 I dont see any USB drive to boot from. I have tried enabling and disabling secure boot, tried default settings with f9. Still dont see the USB drive to select as an option to boot from.

Is your USB EFI bootable or it has Legacy Boot? I don't have  NUC7PJYH, but I assume that in BIOS only UEFI boot is enabled.
