NUC7i5BNK HDR support

I have a Nuc7i5BNK with Iris Plus640 Graphics but the latest driver, 4849 which should enable support for HDR, wont install and says the driver is not supported on my hardware. The Iris Plus640 is listed on on the supported hardware list for this driver on the download site but still wont install.

I am still running driver 4815 without any HDR. Should i wait for a specific driver for Nuc?

Giov: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Graphics communities. We will do our best in order to try to fix this problem.

In this case, what we can do now will be to try to install the graphics driver 4849 manually, please read the instructions on the links below:

hello

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the manual install doesnt work. When i try the procedure Windows says the best driver is already installed and the update doesnt occur.

The Nuc driver update utility also doesnt recognize there are any new drivers available.

I appreciate any feedback on my case.

Regards,

Giovanni

Hi Giov: Thank you very much for providing those results. In this case we will do further research on this matter, as soon as I get any updates I will post all the details on this thread.

Just to confirm, which Windows version are you suing?

Did you try a BIOS update to the latest version 0054?

Bios version 0054

Windows 10 latest updates installed.

For info on your website for available downloads for this nuc, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/95067/Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC7i5BNH Downloads for Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i5BNH , it still shows the older version. Also the Nuc driver update utility doesnt recognize any new drivers.

Giov: Thank you very much for sharing those details. Yes, the Intel® driver update utility sometimes is not that accurate in finding and installing the drivers properly, that is why we recommend to install them manually from our web site.

We will start the research on this subject, as soon as I get any details I will post all the information on this thread.

Any questions, please let me know.

Giov: I just received an update on the research we are doing on this matter, and actually the HDR feature should be supported in all of the Intel latest graphics drivers, please verify the specifications and requirements of the feature on the following link:

Hello Alberto,

Thanks so much for your feedback. Unfortunately i have to disagree.

Are you saying i should have HDR enabled using driver 4815? I can assure you i cannot. Like I said I have other devices connected to my TV and HDR works fine on them, also I interchanged the HDMI 2.0 cables without success; so i can conclude the problem lies with the Nuc. Also, i contacted Intel customer support by chat last week and they confirmed I have to wait for the newer driver to enable HDR. Also, if you refer to , thread 67 and threads 82-87 seem to confirm what i am saying.

More specifically, thread 96, from Intel, is clear to state that driver 4849 is not yet ready for Nuc. I have tried the manual install however that didnt work Im afraid. I am ready to wait for a Nuc driver which supports HDr but i just want to know that you are working on it and its coming soon thats all.

Much appreciated,

Giovanni

Hi

I had the same problem with the HDR driver, the only solution was to uninstall the old driver and after that I was able to install the new driver

Now I have the HDR activation button in the display settings
