Per the instruction guide, a TB3 is required to be connected during the update.
However, I am only using a USB-C to full DP cable to connect to my Dell 1440p monitor and it gave me an error.
Is there another way to update it?
Thanks.

Hello bigbear,
I understand that you are currently experiencing issues when trying to update the firmware of the thunderbolt* port.
Regarding this, as long as the cable is an actual thunderbolt* cable (It has the thunderbolt* symbol on it) there should not be any problem with the installation of the firmware. If there is an error then please provide me with a screenshot of it so I can use it as a reference.
Regards,
David V

Hi David,
I suspect it is only DP not TB3.
Do I need to install the TB3 driver if I am only using Display port?
Thx.

Hello bigbear,
Thank you for your response,
It should not really be necessary to be honest. The firmware is actually to improve the connectivity between the Thunderbolt* devices and the unit. Since you are using it to connect via display port it should not really be needed.
Regards,
David V
