NUC7i7BNH + Windows 10 = vulnerable for BlueBorne Bluetooth attack

I have the latest bluetooth driver installed (20.40.0.3) as well as the latest BIOS (0062)

but it seems to be still vulnerable by BlueBorne attack.

On my android phone i have installed "BlueBorne Scanner by Armis"

(Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.armis.blueborne_detector&hl=de BlueBorne Vulnerability Scanner by Armis – Apps bei Google Play)

and it shows me "Medium Risk".

What does this mean?

Thank you.

Hello Agustav

Thank you for waiting.

Looking for more details on the situation I have found the following link: https://www.armis.com/blueborne/ https://www.armis.com/blueborne/. Windows 10 systems are affected by security variance (CVE-2017-8628).

Please refer to https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2017-8628 https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2017-8628; you need to install the latest Windows Update, you should be able to install one of the following: 4038783, 4038782, 4038788 (only 1 is needed depending on the Windows 10 build that you are using).

If you need assistance with the selection of the correct update we recommend to contact Microsoft for assistance.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Leonardo C.

Hello,

thank you for the links, but KB4038783, KB4038782 and KB4038788 are for Windows 10 Build 1511, 1603 and 1607.

But i have installed Build 1609 (KB4054517) so i am unable to install one of those updates

Today i installed the latest Windows updates, but the vulnerabilty scanner by Armis is still showing me "medium risk".
