Generally speaking, is the Skull Canyon still considered the fastest / most powerful NUC? Or does the new NUC7i7BNH hold that spot now?

Thanks.

Hi, both are pretty powerful units.

Skull Canyon has 2 more cores and 45W TDP vs. 28W for the NUC7i7BNH

Check the specs comparison here: http://ark.intel.com/compare/89187,95065 http://ark.intel.com/compare/89187,95065

I guess it really depends on what you want to achieve with the unit.

I have the Skull Canyon myself and use it mainly for virtualization and it's great at that.
