Hello,
I understand that the Dawsen Canyon NUC7i7DN has in internal eDP port with "
automatic panel identification via Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) for panels with onboard EDID support".
I wanted to know if there is any limitation when routing this embedded DisplayPort to an external Mini-DisplayPort connector to provide an external DisplayPort to the Dawsen Canyon.
For example:
Is plugging and unplugging of different monitors and changing the resolution on demand supported?
Thanks
Thomas

Hello Thomas.Bo,
Thank you for joining the Intel® NUC Community.
We cannot confirm if using an eDP to Mini-DP display cable/adapter will work since we have only validated flat panel displays with the eDP connector using the mating plug PN# I-PEX 20453-040T, (or compatible).
Here is the Intel® Product Compatibility Tool - Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i7DNKE for validated Monitors: http://compatibleproducts.intel.com/ProductDetails/ExportPeripheralInfo?moduleName=Intel%C2%AE%20NUC...
Regards,
Amy C.
