Exactly what the title says, I brought a brand new NUC home yesterday and now it won't boot after ~ 1hr of use. All I did was put in the SSD/Memory, installed Windows 10 and then I installed all the device drivers. After about 5 minutes of use the device blue screened and powered down. Then after it shut down it would no longer power back up. I've reseat the SSD and memory, discharged the device and power brick over night and it still won't power back on. I don't have another power brick to try and have moved it between no less than 4 outlets. I've even removed the SSD and memory and it still won't power up.
Any thoughts?

1. Do you see any LED indication? Blower is working?
2. Disconnect the connector of the CMOS battery and reconnect it after 15 minutes.
3. If the above is not helping, ask for RMA to replace your NUC.

No LEDs light up and the fans don't start either.
I'll give the disconnecting CMOS a shot and report back.

We just had two of these not come back after a power outage. After struggling with NVM reset (inconsistently powering on), we are leaving the batteries out of ours.
They seem to come back more reliably now (although the boot time is longer, since BIOS doesn't remember anything anymore and has to reenumerate everything every time). Waiting for a BIOS update.

I got side tracked and got back to this and can confirm unplugging the battery and plugging it back in has got it back to booting. I've since updated the BIOS to .48 and hopefully won't have this problem again.
Thanks!

I saw already similar problem with NUC8i7HVK already in this forum. Disconnecting CMOS battery helped. According to Technical Product Specification, this battery supplies power to the CMOS memory holding the Date and Time data. In my understanding the boot data, including other bios data is held in SPI Flash Memory. However, reoccurring failure like this, points in my opinion, that there is some problem with Static Memory Allocation in BIOS. Looks like that other than only Date and Time data are stored in CMOS flash, preventing NUC from power ON.
Hope that Intel will look into this subject and it will fixed in the future.
I'm glad that your NUC is working now.
