Hi guys,

I have 5 NUC8i3BNH (recently purchased) and a windows 10 usb.

But Nuc is not booting from usb and showing error "A bootable device has not been detected".

And in one nuc I am also unable to enter in setup.

Is there any secure boot or legacy boot etc setting to boot it from usb?

Hi Ahmed,

  1. From your post I understand that following instructions in my previous post, you successfully installed Windows 10 on 4 of your NUCs.
  2. I understand that the 5th NUC refuses to boot from Microsoft Installation Media (created by means of Microsoft Media Creation Tool)? In addition the NUC is not responding to F2 and F10 keys?
  3. Do you see Intel logo?
  4. Do you see F2, F7, F10 menu?
  5. Please depress the Power Button and hold it for about three seconds - count 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 and release the Power Button. NUC should reboot into Power Button Menu.
  6. While you see the Power Button Menu, click on F2 to enter Bios settings.
  7. In bios, press on F9 (followed by "Y"), to reset bios. Next, press F10 confirmed by "Y" to save default settings and exit from bios.

Hi Ahmed,

  1. The problem is caused by the Windows 10 USB you purchased. Try the following procedure to install Windows 10:
  2. Please prepare your installation media (you need 8GB or greater USB stick), using Microsoft Media Creation Tool: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209
  3. Your bios should be set to default settings. Enter bios (press F2 during boot) and then press F9 (Y) to set defaults and F10 (Y) to save settings and exit.
  4. With the installation media inserted into slot, power ON your NUC and press F10 to get Boot Menu.
  5. In this menu, choose UEFI option of you Installation media.
  6. Follow this tutorial to continue with installation https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html
  7. In para. 7 you may enter Product Key from the Microsoft Distribution you bought.
  8. Skip on para. 12 and continue in para. 13. Important, do not format drive where you want to install Windows, rather delete all existing partitions from this drive, till you see one unallocated space.
  9. Press Next and continue with the installation.

Regards

Leon
