Product details:
NUC8i5BEH
Storage : Intel NVME M.2 SSD 512GB
RAM: 8 GB Kingston
OS :Windows 10 Pro
Problem description:
I recently updated my BIOS to the latest version at the link below using the Intel DSA program.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28569/BIOS-Update-BECFL357-86A-?product=126148
The BIOS update went without a hitch and the system rebooted.
However at the Admin password prompt screen, my password no longer works. Entering my password results in repeated Admin pw prompt for 3 times and User Password prompt for 3 times until the system locks my storage with message "TSG storage locked etc...."
Now I can't even take my M.2 SSD to another system for reformatting as the storage is locked and it appears as unrecognized/uninitialized disk in Linux or Windows.
Additional info:
This isn't the first time I updated the BIOS using Intel DSA. I've done it two times before with Admin password set without issues.
