NUC8i5BEK - IR Remote

Hello,

iv got an NUC8i5BEK and want to start it with an ir-remote which i dont have so far. what kind of ir-remote do i need (it´s just for starting the nuc without using the power button)? are there other options (to start the nuc with a wlan-keyboard, didnt get that to work aswell)?

Hi @AZein ,

1. Yes, you can wake your NUC from S5 state with wireless keyboard/mouse connected with USB WiFi receiver. The Logitech  Wireless keyboard/mouse will do this. This is an example of such keyboard/mouse.

2. In order to enable this ability to wake up from S5, you need to disable Fast Boot in Windows Power Settings. In addition, the BIOS Secondary Power Settings, enable USB S4/S5 Power and Wake on USB from S5.

3. In case that you decide to use IR Remote or Wake from LAN, the Fast Boot in Windows should be disabled too.
