NUC8i7BEH SanDisk Extreme 400GB A2 not recognized.

I recently purchase an Sandisk Extreme 400GB A2 Micro SD card from Amazon. It worked in my Compulab Fitlet 2 under Mint Linux, but will not work on the NUC under Mint, or CentOS 7. The OS comes back and says Error -110 which means card defective. I have re-checked with other machines and it still works fine. Is this a BIOS support issue, or other NUC hardware compatibility issue?

Card is

SDSQXA1-400G-GN6MA SKU 6 19659 16569 7.

According to the Compatibility site, the largest microSDXC that has been found compatible is 256GB. I cannot find any place where they document a maximum size, however. Intel Customer Support will need to ring in here if they know of any limitation.

So I found a slower 400GB SanDisk MicroSD card, and the nuc recognizes it just fine. Wonder if there is a diffrence, I'm sure there is. It sure would be nice to use the faster card for a staging area when backing up with Amanda etc.

Hello EHall12, According to the Technical Product Specification > Section 2.2.4.5 Micro SDXC Card Reader, the board has a micro Secure Digital (Micro SD) card reader that supports the Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC) format, 3.01 specification https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/mini-pcs/nuc-kits/NUC8i3BE_NUC8i5BE_NUC8i7BE_TechProdSpec.pdf We found that the Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC) format, announced in January 2009 and defined in version 3.01 of the SD specification, supports cards up to 2 TB (2048 GB). Version 3.01 also introduced the Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus for both SDHC and SDXC cards, with interface speeds from 50 MB/s to 104 MB/s for four-bit UHS-I bus.
