Hi,
unfortunately, the fan of my NUC8i7HVB has recently started to report regularly, which was almost never the case until now. Even when I am simply reading a PDF.
I have set quiet in the BIOS. It should also not be due to too much dust in the device, because I clean it occasionally. In my opinion, the described problem only appears since my update to the latest BIOS (overwrote it with default values).
Does anyone have another idea what could be the cause.
How do the BIOS settings (currentliy "quiet") actually relate to the Windows energy settings (CPU)?
Thanks in advance and kind regards
nuctestit

In order for us to provide the most accurate assistance on this matter and answer your questions, we just wanted to confirm a few details about your system:
Is this a new Intel® NUC?
When did you purchase it? (For warranty purposes)
Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?
Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello,
I have already mentioned the model we are talking about. In relation to my question, it is also irrelevant whether it is still under warranty or similar. Meanwhile, you can even hear the fan when only 10% of the total CPU load is displayed in Task Manager. That wasn't the case before the update to the last BIOS version 0067 for this device!
In addition, the INTEL Driver and Support Assistant indicates that the INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE 2105.15.0.2157 can be downloaded and installed. However, the installation terminates at the end with a serious error!
The GPU (Radeon RX VEGA M GH) has an average temperature of 58 C.
The CPU Cores nearly 62 C.
EDIT:
In the meantime, it looks to me more like the occurrence of the described problem after a BIOS update is pure coincidence.
I was apparently able to remove the dust inside the iNuc so well by alternating air pressure with vacuuming through the vents that the fans are now quiet again even at 33% CPU load.
Kind regards

Hello nuctestit, Thank you very much for your sharing those details and the picture.
You can find all the drivers tested and validated by Intel® for your Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HVB in our Intel® Download Center:
Including the latest management engine version which is 11.8.86.3877:
"I was apparently able to remove the dust inside the iNuc so well by alternating air pressure with vacuuming through the vents that the fans are now quiet again even at 33% CPU load.", Perfect, excellent, it is great to hear that the fans are now quiet again after removing the dust by alternating air pressure with vacuuming through the vents. Dust is one of the most common reasons for the fans to stop working as expected:

Hello Alberto,
my Intel driver & support assistant found exactly the latest version of the management engine you mention!
But the installation fails!
EDIT:
I could solve the installation problem with a tool by MS:
