NUC8i7HVB - Radeon only active with Displayport Connection?

Hi,

 

Is it true that the Radeon graphics card is only active if the NUC is connected to a display via display port cable and otherwise "only" the integrated Intel graphics card is working?

No, it is not true. The graphics outputs of NUC8i7HVK are not physically connected to the the HG Graphics 630. The kit supports graphics processing via discrete on package Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics processor. Same for DP and HDMI video outputs.
