Hi everyone, I notice after you shutdown the machine, there is still a yellow standby light inside the device. It will only go away if you turn off the main power.
Was wondering if it's better to turn off main power after use rather than let it always on standby till next boot up (maybe prolong the lifespan of whatever inside?)
Then again I also notice every time i turn on the main power switch, my NUC leds will light up for a brief sec like maybe sudden surge of energy.. wondering if that is worst ?

Your NUC works as any other NUC8i7HVK. After connecting the NUC to power, the left and middle LEDs (SSD activity and NET activity) blinking with strong white color. Disconnecting the Power Supply will not prolong the life of the components. The LED on the board, indicates that the power is connected.
