I use a KVM Switch (it's working properly) between my NUC and Work Laptop. When I switch to the work laptop and back to the NUC after an extended period of time, USB is dead on the NUC.
I have checked the power settings:
- No sleep
- No Hibernate
- Max Power
- USB set to: Select Suspend OFF
This is brand new build as of yesterday. I rebuilt it because of this issue.
I have all the latest drivers and BIOS installed.
SSU Output attached.
Your help/recommendations appreciated.

Hi Leo
Thanks for response.
Everything was updated before posting this question and the SSU output was included. Not sure to what updates you were referring.
After 24 hours, the problem is no longer presenting. I'll take it, case closed.

Interestingly, I went through the device manager and happened across this update. Nothing in the Updates or the device manager that would indicate an update was needed. Let's see how this goes.

Nope, that is not the answer. It seems that I've done everything to resolve this issue, and am now seeking the expert opinion of our Intel Team. Help please.

Hello MLevi
Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.
We recommend completing the Updates for the Intel® NUC you can refer to the following link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/126143/Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC8i7HVK and test the environment set up.
Bear in mind that the KVM Switch has not been validated for the INTel NUC (you can refer to the following link to find the list of validated hardware http://compatibleproducts.intel.com/ProductDetails/ExportPeripheralInfo?moduleName=Intel%C2%AE%20NUC&productType=Kits&productName=Intel%C2%AE%20NUC%20Kit%20NUC8i7HVK#) therefore we cannot assure that the set up would work, you can contact the KVM manufacturer for details about the use of the KVM.
Hope this help.
