With bios version QXCFL579.

The usb-c randomly works; usualy the usb-c detects the external storage during boot time when connected.

And it works with every other computer so you are not blaming the cable?

I would blame the cable then maybe the port connection. I researched this a few times. The hard disk reserved volume for system volume information in windows os and relative osi operations is usually the problem that will cause lag like this. So softwares can reset this some companies just recall cable configurations.

Its not the cable. Its either the bios or a faulty nuc element.

The thunderbolt port only functions during boot time.

Try the begginer page. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/intel-nuc/nuc-kits/NUC9QN_TechProdSpec.pdf

To be honest I personally hate reading PDF files in the computer screen, so I have a printer. Recommend a lot.

The USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 is discussed on pages 9 & 10.

And I read about this problem before about power getting disrupted in the actual housing sometimes. And the test was done with voltage volumeters with the support of USB-C docks of course.

As far as for Intel they should really try to bring some work into the & symbol. I just like to spell the few bronzing and letters. Just a personal preference again.
