NVMe PCIe storage/raid card on NUC11BTMi9

I purchased a NUC11BTMi9 and I wanted to add a PCIe NVMe storage card to create a RAID array. The card in question is this:

The card has an ASMedia chipset and it can perform its own PCI Bifurcation.

My current configuration is:

- 2 2TB NVMe drives installed on the two internal PCIe Gen 3 x4 M.2 NVMe/SATA slots (OS).

- 4 2TB NVMe drives mounted on the card (RAID).

However, the card does not show up in the BIOS; neither under Storage, nor under Add-On Config. Which means I can't create the RAID array.

Is this a supported configuration? If yes, if this card is not supported, are there any cards/chipsets combos that are known to work for such a configuration?

Yes, I can create a RAID array using only the onboard NVMe slots, by putting them under VMD and then using the Intel RST option under AddOn Config.

But I don't want to create the RAID array with the onboard NVMe slots. I want to use only the NVME's on the PCIe storage card for the RAID array.

Thank you for the information provided, in this case, the issue is being caused by compatibility, since this is an external product, we cannot guarantee it will work as expected. Our recommendation is to check with the card manufacturer to see if they have made tests with the card and to get further assistance with it.

The HighNUC11BTMi9 BIOSPoint SSD7101A-1 NVMe RAID Controller card works:
