Native HDMI output

I have a problem with the HDMI out on my 6CAYH

First the question:

Does this unit support native HDMI output ?

I can't see the bios if only the HDMI is connected.

The only way i can use the HDMI is under windows and with the drivers installed.

Hello, abruintje. Thank you very much for sharing your issue with the Intel Communities Team. I will be more than glad to assist you.

Allow me to share with you that the NUC has a Level Shifter/Protocol Converter (LSPCON) chip which converts DisplayPort* 1.2a to HDMI* 2.0 so, native HDMI* 2.0 is not supported. Please refer to the Technical Product Specifications of your NUC, page 21, section 1.5.1: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/mini-pcs/nuc-kits/NUC6CAYS_NUC6CAYH_TechPr... https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/mini-pcs/nuc-kits/NUC6CAYS_NUC6CAYH_TechPr...

Then, regarding the issue you are facing with the BIOS, please make sure that you have the latest firmware update for your system (0049). If this is not updated, please download the latest BIOS version by clicking https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27797/eng/AY0049.bio here and, to complete the installation please follow this guide: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27797/NUCs-BIOS-Update-AYAPLCEL-86A-?product=95062 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27797/NUCs-BIOS-Update-AYAPLCEL-86A-?product=95062

I have the latest BIOS but still no video on the HDMI port.

The monitors receive a signal from the HDMI because they come out of sleep mode, but no video is showing on the monitors.

And my receiver indicates that it is getting the wrong/bad signal.

Hello, abruintje.

In order for me to assist you better, please provide me with a DxDiag* report. Please follow these steps to generate it:

1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R.

2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter.

3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop).

4. Attach the .txt file that was generated. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Furthermore, please let me know which is the model of your receiver additionally, how the NUC is connected to the receiver and monitor?

my unit has been exchanged for a new one. It was broken.

Now I see the BIOS on the HDMI cable at startup.

The problem with the receiver was that the refresh rate was Out of range.

Have it changed on a monitor and now everything works perfectly, also on 4k
