The NUC7i7BNH goes to sleep after five minutes requiring turn off and on to continue. I've read that the solution is an earlier version of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver. Wher can I get the MEI version 9.5.24.1790 for Windows 10 Pro 64?

Hello joeharris2,
Thank you for joining the Intel Communities.
Has the computer worked fine before?
Does the issue happen in BIOS as well?
Are you using the power adapter that came with the computer?
I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.
Regards,
Fred D.

If the issue does not happen in BIOS please try starting the computer in Safe Mode. This link will show you how https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Has the computer worked fine before? Brand new computer
Are you using the power adapter that came with the computer? I am using the power adapter that came with the computer
Does the issue happen in BIOS as well? I tried to do a safe boot, but the system would not accept the password.
I saw a Youtube video that said an earlier version of the MEI before 10 or 11, would correct the problem. Is is possible to download an installable Intel MEI ver 9.5.24.1970 to replace my current version?
Time is running out as I will need to return this computer to Amazon by the 24th of Septermber.

tried a solution I saw on youtube where they added options to the shutdown menu, and I saw where they added "powercfg-h off" at the command prompt. After trying both of these the sleep problem seems to have gone away. I left the computer alone for 30 minutes two times, with no problem. Before after five minutes with no action it would lock up.

I left the computer on all night, and in the morning it worked fine. No sleep issue, and was much faster. The solution for myissue was:
- Adding sleep and hybinateto the shut down options and
- From the command prompt (as administrator) typing powercfg -h off
