Usually in the brown box, Intel ships the preproduction units for customer evaluation like you may see on this video. The production unit is send in a blue box , similar to shown on the other video.

I'm not an Intel employee and I don't know if this right. I understand that those preproduction units are supplied for evaluation and not permitted for sale. I don't know how those units are covered by the three years of warranty. You may check the warranty coverage here. I personally would prefer serial production unit and return the preproduction unit to the place you bought it. You may contact Intel by phone or waiting for response from Intel agent probably on Monday.

If you send us a capture of the label on the box, we can verify whether or not this is an ES or PP system (and thus not a system that should be purchasable).
