New radeon driver for NUC8i7HVK/HNK - Is it stable?

The following driver is now available:

Radeon™ RX Vega M graphics driver and software for Windows® 10 64-bit for the Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HNK and NUC8i7HVK.

Version:
30.0.13037.4001

It appears to be a WDDM 3.0 driver for the radeon GPU - useful for windows 11.

So two questions to those who have already installed it:

1) Is it stable? We've had a few SNAFUs regarding drivers for these NUCs now

2) Since WDDM 3.0 is for windows 11 exclusively, has it been stable on windows 10 if that's your OS? Would you recommend upgrading to windows 11 first?

Hi @PRom0 

1. I have the Radeon driver Microsoft version 30.0.13037.4001 (AMD version 21.30.37.04) installed on my Hades Canyon with Windows 11.  Did not observed any problems.   I also have installed the Intel Graphics Driver version 30.0.101.1191.

2. It should run on Windows 10 as well. Please read the Release Notes.

I get the dreaded error 182 when trying to update to Radeon driver Microsoft version 30.0.13037.4001 (AMD version 21.30.37.04). on my NUC8i7HVK.

Hi @mbyrd67 

You may want to try the clean installation of the latest Radeon Driver. I'm assuming that the Chipset Device Software is installed on your NUC. 

1. Use the AMD Cleanup Utility to uninstall the old AMD drivers. 

2. Use the set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 (as explained in this video clip), to check if there is no more old AMD drivers on your NUC.

3. Reboot your NUC and try again to install Radeon™ RX Vega M graphics version 21.30.37.04.

Thank you for these tips.  I tried the steps you provided but still it doesn't install with the 182 error. I have the NUC8i7HVK
