Hello vsm,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
If you do not have audio built in my recommendation is to work directly with HP support since they perform their own customizations on their systems and they provide the drivers for Audio.

Is there audio when you connect an external TV/monitor?
Is the sound icon with an X?

Hi Adrian I did post on the HP community been waiting patiently for a response.
Even the Hp support assist app show drivers up to date and no audio errors.
No x on sound icon, when I go into sound properties its shows correct drivers installed and device works.
Tried windows update, troubleshoot no errors come up.
uninstalled ,reinstalled drivers from Microsoft site, Hp site no luck getting sound to work.
Never tried connecting to monitor or tv will give that a go.
Notebook still under warranty but cant do anything cause we are under lockdown.

Hello vsm,
Thank you for your response.
Were you able to test the sound on an external device?

Hello vsm,
Thank you for your response.
I am glad to know that you were able to get audio at least via Bluetooth.
Since built-in audio is not working, you may contact HP as you did so they can assist you with your built-in sound and diagnose what could be happening with their system.
Best regards,
Adrian M.
