When intel hades NUC connected to a LG 5k display via thunderbolt 3 interface, there is no way to boot from USB sticks.

NUC hangup if any key pressed when boot up.

No Fn displayed even quick boot is disabled and Fn hints is enabled in BIOS.

Everything works when connecting the NUC to a TV via HDMI port

  1. Enter Bios setting.
  2. In Advanced > Boot > Boot Configuration verify that the Fast Boot if disabled.
  3. In Advanced > Boot >Boot Devices enable USB
  4. In Advanced > Boot >Boot Devices enable Thunderbolt USB boot
  5. Press F10 confirmed by "Y" to save setting and exit bios.

As I said in initial post, Everything works when connecting the NUC to a TV via HDMI port.

I believe it is about thunderbolt 3 interface.

  1. I've understand that "...Everything works when connecting the NUC to a TV via HDMI port." However is the   Thunderbolt USB boot enabled in Advanced > Boot >Boot Devices?
  2. Try to boot with Secure Boot disabled (Advanced > Boot > Secure Boot).
