Nuc11 Ethernet Driver update

I have a Nuc11TNHi5000-- I'm trying to install an older Linux (v3.10) on it and hit similar driver issue to the one I encountered for the Nuc10.

The PCI ID is 8086:15F2. I dug into the Linux kernel and found it is part of the https://github.com/torvalds/linux/tree/v5.5/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igc.

I tried downloading https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22283/Intel-Ethernet-Adapter-Complete-Driver-Pack  .. The "This download is valid for the products listed below)" page lists the I225-LM.

But I downloaded the release pack and tried a few of the installers and all of them indicate the V225-LM is "Not available"

Num Description Ver.(hex) DevId S:B Status
=== ================================== ============ ===== ====== ==============
01) Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) 1.87(1.57) 15F2 00:087 Update not
I225-LM available

Can someone point me to either:

1) A Similar updater which supports this PCI ID?
2) A Kernel module update (you offer similar for the e1000e)?

Thanks,

Roger

Hello @RogerP

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

The Intel® Product Compatibility Tool lists Linux* versions that are reported as compatible by Intel® NUC users. Intel hasn't validated these operating systems and we recommend you use the latest kernel.

It is worth mentioning that Intel® doesn't provide Linux-based drivers for Intel® NUCs and the link you were trying was most likely intended for Ethernet Controllers on Intel® Server boards or appliances. Linux distributions normally include all necessary drivers and we recommend users contact the Linux vendor and use their distribution resources for driver downloads and support.

However, we would like to take a look into this and we would like to know if you could provide the following details:

1- Exact distro version:

2- The output of the following terminal commands (you may attach the reports as .txt files):

# /var/log/dmesg:

# /var/log/kern.log:

3- A report for Intel® System Support Utility for the Linux* Operating System.

4- Exact/full model of the other Intel® NUC 10th Gen:
