Old BIOS version DC3217IYE

Hello everybody,

I updated my NUC to the latest version of the BIOS available on the Intel site (0069), without noticing that it was no longer compatible with the 1066Mhz RAM. So I would like to downgrade with a previous version, preferably the 0042 which is the last to support my RAM. But impossible to find it for download and even Intel support could not help me. Do you have this in stock?

Thank you.

Hello Sybal,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

Due to this product being discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it. I am glad to see that fellow community members have the knowledge, and they jumped in and helped.

You may also find the Discontinued Products website (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/discontinued-products.html) helpful to address your request.

You can get the specifications and verify this product's discontinuance status at the Intel® Product Specifications website > Product Status > "Discontinued". https://ark.intel.com/

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Steven G.

Intel surely you can help this customer out and provide the BIOS file. You must have a file server full of these things.

Sybal depending on how you updated your BIOS you might be able to find the old .cap file here: C:\Windows\Firmware

Unfortunately no, the NUC does not work under windows but under Debian and I updated directly via the F2 interface of the BIOS.

I am disgusted to see that Intel refuses to provide users with BIOS that it probably has in stock
