Performed a reformat on my NUC, how do I find the Windows product key?

Hello, I did a clean wipe of my NUC today and now it is asking for the WIndows license key. I thought that information was stored somewhere in the hardware and I did the Powershell command that is supposed to display the key but nothing displayed.

Is it possible that, in the course of reformatting the drive, I deleted this license key?

The License key usually is stored in BIOS in case that the NUC was supplied as a Mini PC from Intel with memory, storage drive and Windows installed. In case that Windows was installed by you, and you have opened a Microsoft Account, the License is stored in Microsoft Server and Windows should be reactivated after your login into Microsoft Account.
