I have a PC Intel NUC NUC11PHKi7CAA with win 11. and regularly experience freezing. Only unplugging it from the power supply will help. Does anyone have a similar problem? Occasionally a blue screen will appear DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Hello, sorry for the delay. i solved the problem with a clean install of WIN.11. the problem was probably in the updates. Which I temporarily disabled. So far everything works as it should.

I believe this issue is caused by Intel Iris graphics driver version 30, so if you need to reenable updates, try manually rolling back that one to version 27, which I have found to work without failing upon sleep.

Hello,
that didn't last very long. I'm having a problem with overheating. If the PC is in standby mode, the fans don't run and the PC overheats. I haven't installed any updates. Does anyone have a similar problem?

Hello,
I've tried it all. Unfortunately, it's the same. In sleep mode the fans don't turn on and the PC overheats. The only option is to disable modern stadby. Any other advice?

I have already done all this including BIOS recovery. The problem is not solved. PC is overheating. There's nothing I haven't tried. The only option is to shut down the PC.

Hello svihy,

I am sorry to know that the issue persists. In order for me to investigate this further, I would appreciate it if you provide me with the following:

1. How do you know that the unit is overheating while in sleep mode?

2. What are the temperatures that the Nuc is reaching? Can you take pictures?

3. Where are you seeing the temperatures?

4. Do you get any errors when the unit is overheated?

My NUC 11 freezes also from time to time. It's random and not only when in sleep mode. It froze twice today while I was using it. I tried setting power and cooling modes to balanced thinking it's a lower power mode so less heat. No fix there.

Many people have noted they overheated the system. I can't find any evidence of this happening to me. Where can I find notification that the system has overheated? I found the log in the BIOS and there are no entries at all in there. I'm running Windows10. Is there supposed to be an entry in the Event viewer?

The Driver Support gizmo tells me my system is up to date. I have attached the output of the SSU below.

Thanks for any help and advise....glenn
